POSITION SUMMARY:
We’re looking for superb analytical minds to join our Data and Analytics Team. As a creative, experienced software engineer you will help us design, extend and build amazing new functionality for our platform. You will be responsible for analyzing large data sets and building expert systems that improve the performance of our systems. We’re looking for candidates with strong quantitative backgrounds, who are be able to learn quickly and work independently.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Apply advanced statistical methods
- Design and implement strategy to scale systems horizontally
- Analyze, design and implement targeted relevance algorithms
- Work with large, complex data sets effciently
- Solve difficult, non-routine problems
- Communicate highly technical results and methods
- Interface closely with infrastructure, operations and product teams
- Write clean, efficient, reusable code that the rest of the team can understand and adopt
REQUIREMENTS:
- Background in machine learning, data mining, information retrieval, data visualization, or scientific programming
- Very strong grasp of algorithms and data structures
- Command of your favorite modern programming language: Python, Java, C++, Erlang, Scala, etc.
- Thrive on implementation and scaling horizontally
- Comfortable working in a Unix environment
- Strong desire to expand and improve software engineering skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication and teamwork skills.
- Assertive self-starter with the ability to work in a resource limited and changing start-up environment. Must be willing to “roll up the sleeves” to get the job done under sometimes challenging circumstances.
- Excitement about the challenges of internationalization

POSITION SUMMARY:
We’re looking for a creative, experienced software engineer to help us design and build amazing new user interface functionality for our platform. ADSOVO is in the process of building a very large cross-platform networked software as a service (SaaS) application for the online advertising industry (B2B). You’ll work with our web application teams at ADSOVO to create excellent user experiences for our internal and consumer facing products. We’re looking for passionate engineers who can take a project, understand what will make a great user experience and then implement the functionality using PHP, Python and HTML/CSS/JS.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create standards-compliant, cross-browser compatible dynamic interfaces.
- Own our design standards and template strategy
- Take mockups from the UX+Design team and create rapid HTML prototypes of new products and projects
- Write clean, efficient, reusable code that the rest of the team can understand and adopt
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience building web application front-end.
- Great with HTML/CSS + Javascript skills, very strong with jQuery or other Javascript frameworks
- Comfortable coding in one (or more!) of these languages: PHP, Python, JavaScript.
- Strong understanding of UI and UX design principles, and how to use these to create user-centered applications.
- Passionate about what’s possible with HTML5 and CSS3
- Strong desire to expand and improve software engineering skills
- Process-oriented with ability to work with different UI materials and rapid prototyping.
- Creative UI design sense and aesthetic.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience working in parallel group software development with both remote and local teams.
